Meet Wilson

Wilson is a 2 year old male Pit Bull. He needs a great home that he can love. Wilson has been overlooked just because he is a Pit Bull, but once you get to meet him you will love him. Wilson is house-trained and doesn't chew or rip furniture or anything.

Wilson is very healthy. He loves kids and adults. Wilson loves cats also. He would enjoy a home with a backyard and fence. He is already neutered! Wilson especially loves to be around people. Wilson is super sweet, loving, and gentle. He loves to snuggle while watching TV. Although he likes to play with dogs his size, he would be better off with a family with no dogs.

Wilson is very easy to train. He was found at a building just wandering all alone. He had many open wounds and scratches. He was very shy. Someone who cared took him to the vet and helped him heal. The vet said that he was probably hit by a car and that his owner abused him. He is being fostered waiting for his forever home.

I visited Wilson and he was very gentle and sweet. So many people just misunderstand this breed. Click here to learn more about Pit Bulls.

  1. Aww, Wilson is soo cute. I too have pitbulls/ pitbull mixes and they are very loving animals. I think this is wonderful that you are helping him find a forever home. Good Luck and keep doing what your doing, Pitbulls need us to be their voice and we need to spread awareness to help these animals.
I have found this site to be very informational if you would like to pass it around..

  2. Wilson is too darn cute!! I definitely agree that Pit Bulls are misunderstood. If they are raised in a loving home, they tend to be loving animals. I think you are doing a wonderful job of trying to get these rescue dogs forever homes. Keep up the good work.

  9. We adopted one "rescue" dog and then purchased one from a pet store - our rescue dog is by far the less expensive dog to take care of and loves all other people and dogs - the same can't be said of our other dog. Keep up the good work looking out for animals - I hope all your dreams come true!

  10. Alaina, you are so right, this is a very sad truth how Pit Bulls are given such a terrible reputation, very unfair!. Thanks for taking care of Wilson and will be saying a prayer that you find a forever home for him real soon. And I am so touched to see your love for dogs and animals.
    God Bless you,
    Lizzette

  11. I am always a sucker for a rescuse! My house is full of them! If I had the funds, I would take many more. It is very expensive to properly care for them. Yearly vaccines, heartworm prevention, flea/tick control, good diet, dental cleanings, etc. Well you know. Our most recent rescue is from a puppy mill in Dallas and she was caged for over 10yrs. We saved Ginger about 7 months ago and I love seeing her so happy and free. Good luck with finding Wilson a wonderful Forever home. Every animal deserves it.
    Keep up the good work!
    Blessings,
    Valerie

  14. Alaina, what a wonderful person you are! Thank you for helping this poor little Bullie named Wilson. If anyone can find him a forever home, I'm sure it will be you. I have two grandpups that are Pit Bulls and they are the sweetest, most snuggleable dogs around. Good luck with your future in the vet. field.

  17. Hi Alaina ~ how lucky for dogs that you have decided you want to be a famous vet! The more famous you get, the more good you'll be able to do. I think it's great that you already know what you want as a career because that gives you more time to learn and get ready. I hope to read about your success when you achieve your goal - good luck!

  19. Alaina,
What a wonderfully written profile of Wilson! Anyone looking to open their home to a rescue pet would definitely consider meeting him after reading that lovely piece and looking at the picture you posted! Your efforts will find him the home he deserves! He pulled at my heartstrings - and my home is full of dogs at the moment...if we were looking for one...I'd honestly have considered a trip from PA!

  20. Hi Alaina! I came to your blog from your mom's blog. I too am a dog rescuer and I volunteer at my local Humane Society. Just finished walking the dogs up there in the heat for 3 hours! Yikes!

Good for you for helping these shelter dogs especially pit bulls. We need more people to be ambassadors for this breed of dogs. I hope Wilson finds a terrific home and with your help - he may just do that!

    From CT with love,
    Maria :)

  21. Aww what a sweet looking dog. I hope Wilson finds a furever home soon! A home that will really love him and care for him. I am unable to take on any more pets right now even though my heart wants me too! I have to take care of the ones I have which as of the last count was 8 cats plus 3 feral cats! Yikes! Thank you for what you do and best of luck to Wilson!
